and Fijians, and Tuvaluans,
see the girl
never seeing herself
or her mates
in books
in stories
never seeing herself
or her mates
in books
in stories
never seeing her face
in the “literary mirror”
see her “see Jack and Jane run”.

This is the exemplar that Room 10 have been studying this week. We have pulled this poem apart, discussed how it has made us feel and how we can use it to creat our own poems.
